لندن - رويترز - قال نادي مانشستر يونايتد الذي ينافس في الدوري الانجليزي الممتاز لكرة القدم إن لاعب خط وسطه مايكل كاريك وقع على عقد جديد لمدة عام واحد.
ويلعب كاريك (33 عاما) ضمن صفوف الفريق منذ عام 2006 وفاز معه بخمسة ألقاب للدوري الانجليزي الممتاز وبات حجر زاوية في خط وسط الفريق من خلال تمريراته المتقنة وأدائه الدفاعي المنضبط.
وقال لويس فان جال مدرب يونايتد لموقع النادي: هو بالنسبة لي القائد الثاني خلف وين روني ويمكنه أيضا قراءة المباراة كلاعب في الفريق. هذا مهم للغاية.
وأضاف: انه مميز للغاية في التمرير إلى الامام. أحب كمدرب اللاعبين الذين يجيدون التمرير إلى الأمام لذا فان هذا في غاية الأهمية بالنسبة لي.
